Core
Services

Where innovation meets regulation—early enough to shape the concept, deep enough to keep you out of trouble.

01

Concept Feasibility Review

Review vertiport, heliport, rooftop, airport, and novel infrastructure concepts for technical plausibility before full design or public release. Identify issues related to geometry, clearances, safety areas, aircraft assumptions, and operational constraints.

  • / DESIGN INTENT MEMO
  • / TECHNICAL RISK REGISTER
02

Regulatory Pathway Strategy

Translate early concepts into a credible regulatory pathway. Align design assumptions with FAA expectations, performance-based infrastructure standards, safety areas, ARFF, downwash/outwash, operational approvals, and stakeholder review requirements.

  • / REGULATORY STRATEGY MEMO
  • / FAA ENGAGEMENT ROADMAP
03

Aircraft-to-Infrastructure Alignment

Translate aircraft capability into infrastructure requirements. Assess how eVTOL, hybrid-electric, ultra-short, and novel aircraft operations affect landing areas, safety zones, approach/departure paths, turnaround, charging/fueling, emergency response, and site compatibility.

  • / INFRASTRUCTURE REQUIREMENTS MEMO
  • / PERFORMANCE-BASED DESIGN ASSUMPTIONS
04

Deployment Strategy

Turn technical concepts into executable deployment plans. Support site sequencing, stakeholder alignment, partnership strategy, implementation roadmaps, and investor/developer-facing narratives that connect infrastructure decisions to operational and commercial outcomes.

  • / DEPLOYMENT ROADMAP
  • / PARTNERSHIP / INVESTOR STRATEGY MEMO

Case Study 01

Performance-Based Infrastructure Strategy for Next-Generation Aircraft

AAM Blueprint Advisory supported the development of a performance-based infrastructure methodology for a next-generation aircraft developer seeking to align novel aircraft capabilities with emerging FAA infrastructure policy. The engagement focused on translating aircraft performance into evidence-based infrastructure requirements, safety-function decomposition, regulatory engagement strategy, and a structured methodology supporting future FAA discussions around performance-based design.

The resulting framework provides a repeatable approach for evaluating operational surfaces, transition regions, safety functions, obstacle protection, and infrastructure criteria while supporting future commercialization across conventional airports and nontraditional operating environments.

Case Study 02

Strategic Deployment Architecture for Emerging Aviation Infrastructure

AAM Blueprint Advisory supported the development of a strategic implementation framework for a multi-stakeholder advanced aviation initiative focused on infrastructure deployment, public-use aviation assets, workforce development, and long-term ecosystem planning.

The engagement organized multiple technical and strategic workstreams into a phased implementation roadmap, defining pilot deployment strategy, stakeholder sequencing, regulatory considerations, funding narratives, and long-term execution priorities. The resulting framework positioned the initiative for future engagement with agencies, strategic partners, and investment organizations.

The Blueprint

Robert Bassey is a national leader in Advanced Air Mobility (AAM) infrastructure planning, regulatory alignment, and concept development. Former FAA Vertiport Design Lead and author of EB 105A.

During his tenure with the FAA Office of Airports, Robert served as a senior engineer and program lead supporting the development of the United States’ first national vertiport design standards. He authored major elements of Engineering Brief 105 and 105A and contributed to foundational criteria covering vertiport layout geometry, downwash and outwash safety areas, elevated-site requirements, aircraft rescue and fire-fighting (ARFF) integration, and the ground infrastructure–aircraft interface for eVTOL operations.

Through AAM Blueprint Advisory, Robert provides focused senior advisory services to infrastructure developers, technology companies, airports, regulators, and public-sector stakeholders working in the formative stages of AAM deployment. His consultancy concentrates on early concept development, design-intent validation, regulatory pathway alignment, and standards interpretation—helping organizations translate evolving policy frameworks into practical infrastructure and program strategies long before projects move into formal procurement or construction.

Robert’s work bridges regulatory insight with operational realities, supporting clients as they shape safe, compliant, and scalable foundations for next-generation aviation networks in both the U.S. and emerging international markets.
